The club doesn’t have any leaders qualified to take a group to Longstone – the outer Farne Island -because it’s too far offshore. But sometimes unofficial groups arrange a visit. It has to be approached with caution because the lighthouse is 5 miles off shore and there are strong tide races between the islands.
