The club has a regular Sunday paddle on the river at Amble and up through Warkworth.
White water skills practice sessions are sometimes arranged at Prudhoe – beginners need to learn basic skills (breaking in and out of the flow, ferry gliding, running weirs) before joining a river run.
River runs take place through the winter when the fishing season closes – best to practise whitewater skills first! These are mostly level 1 and 2 runs sometimes on the Tyne – North and South – or on the Coquet at Rothbury or Morwick. Sometimes we do more technical runs for more experienced paddlers and may also paddle on the Wansbeck or the Derwent. All depending on river levels.
