Septembers camping weekend was a chance to use a selection of boat types on easy flat water. A leisurely paddle to Howtown tea room for coffee and cake, punctuated by stops for the dog who couldn’t decide between canoes, swimming or running on the bank. The return had John, our organiser, convert the canoes to a boat, but with the wind dropping fears raised that the National Park Wardens policing boat would be giving them a parking ticket.
