Open Canoe fun

There’s been more open canoe activity this summer than the club has had in recent years because we have more open canoe coaches and leaders now. With beginner sessions at the lake, rescue practice at the Little Shore in Amble and a recent river run on the Tweed from Norham to Berwick (which these photos are from, thanks to Joy Martin). Canoes are great for camping from and there are regular camping trips organised. The islands in Loch Lomond are a favourite and there are occasional opportunities to paddle the Great Glen. There’s an upcoming camp at Ullswater for any craft and suitable for beginners – staying at a campsite on this occasion – get added to Spond if you are interested by emailing info@coquetcanoeclub.co.uk
