Last Sunday the sea group consisted of experienced paddlers with several leaders in the group and they decided that the level of competence was sufficient to paddle out to Coquet Island even though there was a bit of an off-shore wind. They didn’t go round the island, just went out there and back. It meant the group got some practice paddling against a Force 4 wind gusting Force 6 and one participant reported arms like jelly at the end, but everyone got back in one piece.
