Most Sundays there’s an opportunity for a gentle paddle in the estuary – up through Warkworth and past the Hermitage if the tide is right. Last Sunday there was the added excitement of watching a young seal chasing fish and later eating one beside the Hermitage landing. Sadly none of us managed to get a good picture of the action but the seal is in the photos below. It was a very pink fish which may have been a sea trout.
