The first weekend of November is traditionally when the Hexham club organises its Tyne Tour to celebrate the start of the river running season. The Coquet club organises the car parking at Wark sports club and then does a river run from Wark to Barrasford. It was a good session for novice and out-of-practice river runners. The low water level was less intimidating than deeper water with fast flow and it was good experience reading the water and avoiding rocks. Also good experience getting unstuck when caught out by the submerged rocks! Photos Richard SIll.
